A quick lunch while visiting Alnwick, chose to eat based on menu at the door, on entering the restaurant we were the only people there (usually puts me off) however, no need to have worried! Within half an hour there were 6 other parties eating. The food was fantastic.... calamari, whitebait and prawn starter was light and perfectly cooked, pate was superb too, I am fairly predictable in what I choose, so is my husband, so to say it&#39;s the best linguine vongole I&#39;ve ever had (I&#39;ve eaten 100s in many countries!) is a huge accolade! My husband spent his time mentally replicating the sauce his sea bass was served with... We will most definitely be back!

We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Black Swan. We shared calamari and halloumi starters, along with a delicious soup which came with two huge pieces of crusty bread. It was 2-4-1 on pizzas and they were absolutely delicious with a range of original toppings. My son had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely packed with steak. My daughter went for the Cajun chicken burger and really enjoyed it. We were too full to manage a dessert but the children both went for cheesecake - it was Biscoff and they loved it! We will definitely be back next time we&rsquo;re in Alnwick.

We decided to return to the Olive Branch for lunch today. The young staff were efficient &amp; very polite. Our lunch was beautifully presented and the service was very good. My friend had a vegetarian quiche &amp; I had a vegetarian panini both needed more flavour it was rather bland.

Went to The Treehouse Restaurant at the Alnwick Garden for a friend&#39;s birthday. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was great and the mocktails were great! Very romantic atmosphere, worth a visit

Recently, the mood is relatively low, but I personally feel that food can always cure the inner unhappiness. This mivisi restaurant is also a small and well-known local area, and the weight is quite full.

Absolutely lovely food and friendly service. Had a risotto that was amazing! Nice atmosphere and wine list as well.

We both had starters and main meals, both of which were large portions. The food tasted fresh and was well cooked, just what you&#39;d expect from an Italian restaurant. The food took a little longer than we would&#39;ve liked, but the restaurant was busy. When we asked for the bill we were given Complimentary Amaretto shots and sweets. A lovely evening meal.

Overall not overly impressed by this restaurant, maybe it was just our food choice but neither myself or my partner enjoyed the food and it was not cheap - wine in particular! I chose salmon and requested that the &quot;served with potatoes and vegetables&quot; came without butter as I am trying to watch my intake. I was told, not to worry as they didn&#39;t put butter on the veg... that was obviously because it is baked in the oven in half an inch of oil! The dish arrived swimming in oil and the potatoes were fried potatoes and the veg roasted with them. To add to that the salmon was floating in a puddle of oily dressing too - so much for my fat intake! Clearer explanation on menus may have avoided any confusion. Service was average, prices higher than anticipated for what was served. Disappointed.
